Candlestick Point and Hunters Point Shipyard

The Candlestick Point and Hunters Point Shipyard project will transform 771 acres of abandoned and under-utilized lands along San Francisco’s south-eastern shoreline into vibrant mixed-use neighbourhoods with a variety of housing opportunities for different incomes, ages, lifestyles and family size; a green research and development centre providing local employment; and neighbourhood and regional shopping. With over 300 acres of new and improved parkland the project includes neighbourhood and community parks, ecology parks, waterfront promenades, a sports field complex, a cultural heritage park and expansion of the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area. Aditya Advani collaborated with designer Tom Ballsley and Associates on the master plan of this project.

Aditya was Principal-in-Charge and Design Leader for this project while at RHAA.
