The landscape design of the Organic India tea factory is a showcase of the horticultural practices of this model business that exports organic Tulsi Tea and Ayurvedic Herbs to the whole world. Designed according to Vastu principles, this factory site has been laid out to run efficiently and in a positive cycle that will benefit both the business and its workforce.
There are gardens for enjoyment that also grow and showcase the plants used in the factory products. Other amenities include a walking labyrinth for individual meditation, a sunken amphitheatre and gathering area with a stage where group yoga and meditation can occur, and a central quadrangle for large corporate celebrations. This is planned as a LEED Gold project by Studio Lotus, with all site planning being undertaken to maximize softscape, passively shade all the west and south side of buildings, gather and recharge storm water and create a forest of native trees on the edges. An abundance of flowering plants graces the gardens and grounds, making it more than just an ordinary factory.
